Our Story

Growing up I loved to “borrow” my mother’s variety puzzle books. I quickly learned which games I could not touch (Crosswords & Cryptograms), and which my mother would allow me to complete. My favorites were Fill-Ins, Logic Problems, and Word Searches. I later discovered Pic-Cross (Nonograms), Sudoku, and other logic type puzzles.

In this age of online everything, I want to provide the chance for offline amusement. Remembering the puzzle books of my youth, I decided to start Cool Squirrel.

I strive to create quality puzzle books, where the quality of the puzzles is more important than the quantity. You won’t find books with thousands of hard to see puzzles here. My puzzles are spaced well on the page, with larger print for easy reading. I always include full solutions in the back of the book- no turning on your computer to find solutions on the website.

In every book, I include a surprise bonus puzzle of a different type to help you find new favorites.
